  • You will be drive to Sigiriya in the morning
  • Visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress in the Evening

    Sigiriya Rock Fortress is the most visited UNESCO world heritage site in Sri Lanka. Build by King Kashyapa in the 5th Century, the citadel that surrounds the main rock and its place contains all the attractions in Sigiriya.   • Day 4 - Kandy

    Dambulla Rock Cave Temple

    This is the largest and best preserved complex of Buddhist cave temples in Sri Lanka The History of Dambulla Rock Cave Temple dates back to 1st century BC during the reign of King Valagamba. There are five Caves which contain almost 150 images of the Buddha.

    Nalanda Gedige

    Nalanda Gedige is an ancient complete stone building near Matale. This was an ancient Hindu Temple which constructed in between 8th to 10th century and then have been used by Buddhist.

  • Day 5 - Temple of Tooth Relic

  • After Breakfast visit Temple of Tooth Relic
  • This is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy. Temple of Tooth Relic is located in the royal places complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, Which houses the relic of the tooth of Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holdes the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of Sri Lankan Kings.

  • Gadaladeniya Temple
  • Gadaladeniya Temple with an ancient monastery is found on the flat rock at Diggala in the district of Kandy.

    The main shrine room has seated (in Vajrasana) Buddha Statue under a Makara Thorana and four standing Buddha images. The makara thorana is decorated on both faces with gods such as Brahma, Suyama, Santhusuta, Natha and Maithree, and two attendants.

  • Embekke Devalaya is a monument par excellence of the Sri Lanka Architecture.

    Embekke Devale, famed for its elaborate wood carvings, pillars and other structures. The UNESCO has identified these marvelous but elaborate carvings on wooden pillars to be the finest products of wood carvings to be found in any part of the world.

    Drive to Colombo

    Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage was established in 1975. Meet the rescued abandoned elephants of all ages. You can see they play and bathe in the river, and watch the youngest being bottle fed.
